About Marianne Parsons

Marianne Parsons Marianne Parsons is a native of Saskatchewan now living and quilting in the South Okanagan. For over 40 years, Marianne has been teaching fibre art and design, and promoting ways to learn the rules and then break them. <br />Her quilted pieces are exhibited nationally and internationally. She is a member of the Fabricators, the Fibre Art Network (FAN) and the Canadian Quilters Assoc. (CQA). She won the national award of Teacher of the Year 2005 sponsored by the CQA and was the 2005-2008 BC Rep for the CQA. In 2013, she was awarded top Canadian prize in the Abstract Pictorial category for her Set in Stone wall hanging.
