About Yvonne Bilan-Wallace

Yvonne Bilan-Wallace Yvonne's surroundings and experiences are themes that drive her passion to create. She never quite knows where her pieces will take her as they are being created. Typically they start with a photo or some other physical inspiration and then research to understand the topic more fully. A simple plan and a passion for the topic, allow the fibre story to become alive. The journey and adventures along the way to the destination, is a big part of why she loves to create fibre art.

Her journey in fibre arts started with contemporary art quilting using a variety of techniques including thread sketching, free motion quilting, dyeing and painting on fabric. Felting has become a second passion, so don't be surprised to find both of these fibre art forms together in her work.
