The Crooked Half-Mile

33" x 11" ©2001

The Crooked Half- Mile is representative of many coastal villages in eastern Canada and the British Isles. The shape of the image invites the viewer to explore the half-mile from the ocean to the outskirts of the village. This quilt was included in the “Canada Uncovered” exhibit at the Museum of the American Quilter’s Society in Paducah, Kentucky in 2006. Cottons, hand appliquéd and quilted, hand embroidery
