I dance on different paths along my fibre journey. One path follows the careful and controlled cutting and placement of line and shape working with cotton fabrics. The other path is littered with any fabric or thread that comes to hand. I am enthralled with the application of colour to fabric, and I dye many of the fabrics I use. For several years I have been dyeing silks by composting with local material, such as lichens, leaves, berries and tree barks.
