Maple Key Colour Variations
40" x 65" ©2008
While collecting maple keys for an ephemeral art installation, I noticed the colour range of the maple keys. This same colour range came out in the fabrics I painted. These maple key and silver maple leaf images were boxed into rectangular log cabin type blocks forming a grid. This artwork explores the tensions between human development and the natural world.
