This is a commemorative piece I made for my family. It is a picture of all of us playing in the lovely little place where we raised our family in the village of Oyster Pond, Nova Scotia. It is a tactile piece where you get to see all of the birds that used to come to our feeders if you peak under the leaves to find them. This piece has been exhibited in several juried shows and has been awarded several ribbons. Techniques: appliqué, reverse appliqué, hand-pieced, quilted, embroidery, stumpwork, beadwork, scrunching, dyeing, painting; all work done by hand.
