This piece was inspired by Kandinsky and the mola makers of Panama. It is a study of colour and pattern and worked entirely intuitively to see what I would come up with. It was also a way to further my skills in various textile traditions including: reverse appliqué, mirrorwork, embroidery and fabric dyeing. This piece has been juried in several shows in Canada and the US. Techniques: reverse appliqué, embroidery, mirrorwork, quilted-in-the-ditch; all work done by hand.
