My art begins in the dye bath as I mix and create my own colours on plain white and repurposed fabrics and cheesecloth.  Additions of mor dye, paint and ink add to the individuality of the fabrics I work with.  Each of my artworks is composed of pieces and layers of these fabrics with a great deal of stitching.

My inspiration comes from the world around me, most often the ever-changing Canadian prairie landscape.  My hope is to share the joy and beauty of the scenes I have chosen to interpret in fibre.
